Ivy Marshall is having the worst week possible. It begins by her father calling to tell her that he is closing the office that he has in Asheville, to her sister getting engaged on national TV and the worst news anyone could get, her husband has had an affair.
With her life falling apart, she decides to head home to Sunset Beach to help her sister with the wedding. While there she is giving the task of putting together the wishing tree, a family tradition. People will write their wishes for the Shea and Owen and tie them to the tree.
While Ivy is at home, she runs into her ex-finance and has to decide between rekindling feelings for him or giving her husband a second chance. Ivy learns that God wants to be at the center of her life and her marriage, and that He is the only person that fill the emptiness she is feeling.
Will she give up her marriage to be with Michael or will she give Elliot a second chance? The Wishing Tree is a wonderful book that will teach us about grace, learning from the mistakes that we have made and the most valuable lesson of all, forgiveness.
