The NIV Ragamuffin Bible Mediations for the Bedraggled, Beat-up, and Brokenhearted is a devotional Bible that includes lifetime work from author Brennan Manning. Here is a little about Brennan Manning: “Brennan Manning spent his life and ministry helping others experience the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. A recovering alcoholic and former Franciscan priest, his own spiritual journey took him down a variety of paths, all of them leading to the profound reality of God’s irresistible grace. His ministry responsibilities varied greatly — from teacher, to minister to the poor, to solidary reflective. As a writer, Brennan Manning is best known as the author of the contemporary classics, The Ragamuffin Gospel, Abba’s Child, Ruthless Trust, The Importance of Being Foolish, Patched Together, and The Furious Longing of God.” (Amazon.com)

Some of you are probably asking, “What is a Ragamuffin?” A Ragamuffin is someone who is unworthy, pitiful, despicable and unlovable. I think we all can relate to that, I know I have felt that way plenty of times but thankful God sees me differently.
I loved the layout of this Bible and loved reading the devotions as well as seeing the quotes from other works by Manning. This Bible is perfect size and will fit into all Bible covers, it is definitely one I will be keeping and passing onto my children. I highly recommend this bible to those that are searching for a devotional and Bible in one. This Bible would make a great gift to those that are feeling like a ragamuffin or for those who are new believers. I definitely give this Bible 5/5 stars!!!
