Brandi Boddie holds a juris doctorate from Howard University School of Law and a BA in political science from Youngstown State University. Her love of writing and research has led her to work that includes case management for the Office of the Attorney General in Washington DC and teaching assignments for elementary and secondary students. When she is not working on a story, Brandi enjoys hiking, fencing, and swing dancing. She lives in Colorado with her family, which includes a cocker spaniel who aspires to be a food critic.

My Review:

Rowe Winford arrives in Assurance, Kansas hoping to start a new and leave behind the memories of his deceased family. Marissa Pierce, a saloon girl, is ready for a change. Tired of her life and working for a boss who is mean and doesn’t care. What happens when these two cross each other’s paths?

Rowe notices Marissa has she is walking down the street in an outlandish costume. He can’t shake the feeling that God is speaking to him to help her. But will she accept his help? Will they fall in love? Better yet will they marry?

I loved The Preacher’s Wife, the first book in the Brides of Assurance collection by Brandi Boddie. This is the first book by her that I have had the opportunity to read. You will fall in love with her writing ability and how she can draw your attention in and it feels like you are there with these characters. I can’t wait to read Book 2 in this series.
