My Review:

A Woman of Fortune is the first book in A Texas Gold collection, written by author Kellie Coates Gilbert. Claire is a Texas socialite and is living her dream and never has a care in the world. She doesn’t have to worry where her next meal is coming from, or what she will wear or drive, or if she will even have a bed to sleep in. But that all is about to change in an instant and how will she ever recover from the hardship.

Tuck Massey has just been arrested for swindling people out of money in what they are calling the largest cattle scheme in history. Claire thinks it is a mistake, what will she and her kids do. Claire had no idea what was going on and how can she prove this? Will Claire find faith somewhere else other than in her husband or in her money or material possessions? How can she pick up the pieces of what’s left of her life?

Ms. Gilbert, using her background in legal work, writes an excellent story that keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more. This is a wonderful book and you will definitely not be disappointed. I highly recommend you reading this book.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher for my honest review. All opinions expressed her are my own. Thank you.
