Esther: A Novel
Rebecca Kanner
We all know the story of Esther; I believe we all have read every book that has been written whether it’s a fiction book or non-fiction book. Are you ready for a new twist on the story of Esther: The Queen of Persia? If so, I highly recommend you picking up a copy of Rebecca Kanner’s new novel Esther: A Novel. Rebecca Kanner is the award-winning author of Sinners and the Sea and brings us this wonderful new tale of Queen Esther.
Esther, a Jewish girl, is taken from her home by the king’s warriors and forced to go to the palace. There is she is put in a cage and kept for months, to prepare for her one night with the king in hopes that he will choose to take her as his new Queen.
The Persian King has a vast empire, riches galore, power that no one else possesses, and has a military force at his every command. But still he is looking for one woman to become his queen.
We all know he chooses Esther as his queen but what we don’t know is what happens when the crown is placed upon her head. Many dangers come with the crown. She saves her people, the Jews from extermination. What else happens to Esther? What other dangers will befall her?
This novel is filled with courage and taking a risk to stand up for what is right and what you believe in. I highly recommend this book to all Christian Fiction fans as well to those who have never read a Christian fiction novel. You definitely will not be let down.
Thank you to Howard Books for providing me with a copy of this book for my honest review.
