Sarah Bessey, the award-winning blogger and author of Jesus Feminist brings us another great book, Out of Sorts Making Peace with an Evolving Faith. Out of Sorts is about Christianity and helps us wrestle with and sort out our faith. Written in a style that can only be described as a narrative theology, Sarah takes us through many issues that we all struggle with. Some of these issues are Who Jesus is? What place the Church has in our lives, how to disagree yet remain within a community, and how to love the Bible for what it is rather than what we want it to be.

These are some very tough issues that I know I have dealt with on a daily basis and I am truly thankful for Sarah writing a book that tackles these issues. She offers the lessons that she has learned along her journey of finding peace and to Christians who have become very dissatisfied with today’s Church. She offers hope to those that have been hurt by the Church and no longer attend.

Out of Sorts is definitely a book that we all as Christians can benefit from, especially at a time like this, when so many are turning away from Church and from Christ.
