My Review:
As a mom, we are busy with laundry, constantly cleaning, taking kids back and forth to sports, cheer, dance, and the list goes on. We have to be the mediator, referee, coach, chef, doctor and so many other hats. Between all of the many hats we wear and trying to have quiet time with God, sometimes we may be lucky to get 5 minutes to ourselves. Karen Ehman and Ruth Schwenk have written a devotional for us moms titled Pressing Pause: 100 Quiet Moments for Moms to Meet with Jesus. Filled with 100 devotions giving us the time we need with Jesus.
Each devotion begins with a Bible verse, then a story, followed by a prayer, and questions with a space for us to write down our answers. I have found this has a great tool for my busy life. I can read a devotion while my kids are doing their school work or at an appointment. This is definitely designed for us busy moms. Beautiful hardback, that will fit in a diaper bag, purse or just right for you to carry.
If you have been looking for something that will allow you just a few minutes of quiet time then look no further. Pressing Pause is perfect! I highly recommend this devotional to all moms!
