My Review:
If He Only Knew is an Historical Romance set in the 1960s that tackles a lot of the issues we face today. Issues you wouldn’t think that happened a lot in this time. The 1960s is portrayed as a time when things were quiet, everyone knew each other, and there wasn’t a lot of drama that happened. No time is perfect, the movies and TV shows have done a great job letting us believe the time was perfect.
In If He Only Knew, its 1968 in Cambridge, California and love is in the air. Donna Peterson is the preacher’s daughter who not only has her life ahead of her but her future looks very promising. There are secrets, deceit, and loss going on in this sweet, small coastal town. There is not a lot I can say or I will give away what the book is exactly about.
This book was a good read, written by two authors who have put their all into this book. The story is something that needs to be shared even if it is fiction. These things are happening all around us.
“I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.”

Take a step back in time…
If He Only Knew is a novel set in the late 1960s. The book deals with family relationships, loyalty, friendship, love, and loss. The main topic is somewhat controversial in nature, but we won’t mention what it is lest we spoil the story for readers. A similar book was written in a different genre under another name and the story really resonated with readers. We felt compelled to share this story with others who perhaps wouldn’t pick up that particular genre, and that is how this book came about. It may be set in the sixties, but the message is as relevant today as ever. Our prayer is that God will touch readers’ hearts and draw them closer to Him.

I read a lot of historical fiction, but rarely from the 1960s time period.
