NKJV Spirit Filled Life Bible was produced by Jack Hayford and a team of respected, Spirit-led scholars. This is the third edition and is available in full color. This Bible has some great features such as:

Word Wealth—More than 650 word studies that shed light on key terms, drawing important meaning from the original Greek and Hebrew.

Kingdom Dynamics—Dozens of biblical themes are addressed in notes by Spirit-filled preachers, teachers, and writers, including many new contributors for this edition.

Truth-in-Action—Handy, helpful thematic charts provide practical application from every book of the Bible

Praying the Word—192 guided prayers based on significant passages throughout Scripture

Each one of these features bring new meaning to your Bible Study! They will challenge you, give you more information than a normal study Bible. I have found that the truth in action feature is wonderful and is my favorite. There are helpful charts that provides the foundations and teachings of each book. This feature shows us how to take the truth that is presented and to put it into action.

I love each feature of the updated Spirit Filled Life Bible and I know you will too.

The Apologetics Study Bible CSB

The Apologetics Study Bible (CSB)

My Review:

I love Bibles! Whenever a new one comes out that I want, I am told I have too many. To me, a girl can never have too many Bibles!! Of course, I had to have The Apologetics Study Bible when I seen it. This Bible is a Christians must have Bible. This is in the Christian Standard Bible version (which used to HCSB). The features are endless: commentaries from 90+ apologists, presentation page, book introductions, study notes, profiles of Christian Apologists are just a few of the many features.

The CSB is a very highly readable text which means it is very easy to understand. For me, I sometimes have trouble understanding the KJV and the CSB really helps me to understand what I am reading. Honestly if you are looking for a Bible that will help you understand the Bible, get a deeper understanding and learn about some of the leading apologists then look no further, this is the Bible for you.

“I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.”

About the Author:

12930

Liz Curtis Higgs admits, “My goal is simple: to help women embrace the grace of God with joy and abandon!”

Her latest release, 31 Verses to Write on Your Heart, explores the favorite verses chosen by more than a thousand women. It’s Good to Be Queen encourages readers to become as bold, gracious, and wise as the queen of Sheba, who journeyed across the desert to test the mind and heart of King Solomon. Liz also offers a twenty-first century take on the book of Ruth in The Girl’s Still Got It, dishing out meat and milk, substance and style, in a highly readable, always entertaining, and deeply personal journey.

And you’ll find a heartwarming Bible study wrapped inside a beautiful gift book with The Women of Christmas. Verse by verse, Liz unwraps the biblical stories of Elizabeth, Mary, and Anna, who each welcome the Christ child into the world in a marvelous and miraculous way.

In her best-selling series of Bad Girls of the Bible books and videos, Liz breathes new life into ancient tales about the most infamous–and intriguing–women in scriptural history, from Jezebel to Mary Magdalene. Biblically sound and cutting-edge fresh, these popular titles have helped more than one million women around the world experience God’s grace anew.

Liz’s award-winning historical novels, which transport the stories of Rebekah, Leah, Rachel, Dinah, Ruth, and Naomi to eighteenth-century Scotland, also invite readers to view these familiar biblical characters in a new light.

According to Publishers Weekly, “Higgs is a stickler for period authenticity.” To that end, Liz has traveled again and again to Scotland, the setting for her novels, and has filled her shelves with one thousand resource books about Scottish history and culture.

Also a gifted professional speaker, Liz has presented more than 1,700 inspirational programs for audiences in all fifty United States and fourteen foreign countries. When the National Speakers Association honored her with the Council of Peers Award for Excellence, Liz became one of only 35 women in the world named to their CPAE-Speaker Hall of Fame.

On the personal side, Liz is married to Bill Higgs, Ph.D., who serves as Director of Operations for her speaking and writing office. Liz and Bill enjoy their old Kentucky home, a nineteenth-century farmhouse in Louisville, and are the proud (and relieved) parents of two college grads.

“I have three abiding passions: encouraging my sisters in Christ, exploring the stories of women in the Bible, and writing novels set in Scotland of old. When I’m not traveling, speaking, or spinning a story, I connect with readers online, take copious photos, read historical novels, watch period films, and immerse myself in research–the more books, the merrier. I’m a lame housekeeper, a marginal cook, and a mediocre gardener, but home is still my favorite place to land.”

My Review:

Liz Curtis Higgs is by far a great author and speaker. I have had the opportunity to hear her speak several times at Women of Faith. She doesn’t sugar coat what the Bible says and she oozes Jesus. Her newest book, 31 Verses to Write on Your Heart is by far one of my favorite books of the year. In this book, Liz gives us 31 Bible verses, verses that have been chosen my many women as their life verses. Verses about strength, honor, love, perseverance. Verses for encouragement, hope, honor. Verses that we need to hear over and over again. By memorizing these verses, we are able to have them when we need to hear them or when someone else needs to hear them.

31 Verses to Write on Your Heart can be used for a Bible study as well as a daily devotional. Included in the book is a study guide. Grab some ladies and dig into what Liz Curtis Higgs has to say and start memorizing scripture.
